Saeco Odea Line Brews a Perfect Coffee
CLEVELAND – May 1, 2007– Saeco, a leading manufacturer of espresso machines, has released the Odea line
of home espresso machines. This is one of three new lines being introduced in 2007. Together the lines feature
seven products, all designed for consumers who want the luxury of enjoying the perfect cup of coffee within the
comfort of their own homes.
“While all of our new lines are designed for consumers who continually aspire for the perfect coffee experience, the
Odea simplifies the process through one-touch brewing,” says John McCann, CEO of Saeco USA. “It features an
adjustable ceramic grinder which accommodates individual tastes and makes the machine easy to use and maintain.”
The ceramic grinder, invented and patented by Saeco, adjusts to ensure an even grind – and the freshest brew –
with the touch of a button.
The adjustable settings can return a finer grind and stronger taste to accommodate individual preferences. Because each coffee drinker’s palate is unique, Saeco developed the grinder discs using ceramic to avoid absorbing the coffee bean’s flavor or fragrance. This enables the user to alternate the beans used in the machine without compromising the flavor.
The Odea line also features the Saeco Aroma System. This system is a programmable pre-brewing cycle that injects
hot water into the ground coffee at variable degrees (on, off or long). Depending on the consumer’s choice, the
coffee results in varying degrees of flavor strength.
Other standard features included on the Odea Super Automatic Espresso Machines:
- Pannarello Attachment – This stainless steel steam wand manually froths milk or produces hot water for tea. Odea Giro boasts the added benefit of Rapid Steam® where there is virtually no waiting between frothing and steaming milk and brewing espresso.
- Odea Interface – Icons and dial for simplified operation and programmable settings.
- Touch Lift Technology – Manual drip tray moves up and down to fit any cup.
- Cup Warming Surface – Controlled cup warming surface holds up to six espresso cups.
- Easy Clean System – Easily removable brew group for chemical-free cleaning.
The Saeco Odea super automatic home espresso machines include the Odea Giro and Odea Go and are all
part of the newest Saeco machines designed by BMW Group DesignworksUSA. Additional product lines include
Primea and Talea.
The Odea machines are available this fall at a suggested retail price of $500 - $700. For more information on
