Saeco Brews Perfection with Modern Design and Innovative Technology

Saeco International Group Partners with BMW Group DesignworksUSA to Launch Seven New Luxury Espresso Machines

CLEVELAND – May 1, 2007 – Italian-based Saeco International Group (SIG) has partnered with world renowned
design studio BMW Group DesignworksUSA to launch three automatic espresso coffee machine product lines –
seven new machines in all.

With more than 30 years of design milestones, BMW Group DesignworksUSA has created a broad, but select range
of premium products including cars, sports equipment, motorcycles, lifestyle products, trains and airplanes. The
company also designs fashion and high-technology devices for companies such as BMW, Nokia, Compaq and
John Deere. Its collaboration with Saeco has resulted in three distinct product lines of contemporary espresso
machines that are unique in consumer appeal, yet collectively stylish, modern and practical.

Saeco designs, produces and markets coffee machines for household and professional use as well as automatic
vending machines. The company has significantly grown throughout the years, recently becoming the world leader
in home espresso equipment (source: European data reporting firm, GFK). According to John McCann, CEO for
Saeco USA, this growth has enabled Saeco to establish a strong international presence in the world's leading markets.
“Saeco puts the consumers’ coffee experience at the center of product development, designing our machines around
their passion for the ‘perfect’ cup of coffee,” McCann said. “Our consumer focus, combined with the expert design
of BMW Group DesignworksUSA, makes that perfect cup attainable.”

The Primea, Talea and Odea product lines all embody the sleek lines, sophisticated artisanship and inventiveness
that BMW Group DesignworksUSA is known for throughout its industry. This style is most apparent on the machine’s
operating areas. The Primea product line, which is the most advanced of the new machines, features a color touch
screen with sensitive touch technology on the Primea Touch Plus, and an effortless click wheel interface on the
Primea Ring.

The Talea and Odea lines also incorporate stylish and simplified user interface systems; the Talea Touch has a large
black and white touch screen, while the Talea Ring Plus boasts an LCD display and click wheel. The Odea Go and
Odea Giro feature a modern dial wheel for simple operation and programmable settings.

The new Saeco Primea, Talea and Odea espresso machines will be available this fall at retail outlets nationwide. Suggested retail prices begin at $500 for the Odea product lines to $3,200 for the top of the line Primea machines.
